It’s time to Celebrate and say THANK YOU to everyone who is joining me here today! Today I launched my new website, my blog and will begin to share my new adventures that await. It has been a lot of waiting to get ready to get ready to get ready to get ready…well you get the idea!

Imagine yourself in the position of working with wild horses and responsible for identifying a potential champion and working with that potential. You see the strength in the eyes, the spirit of their resistance, yet you keep coming back to the potential. Now think forward to and grasping the many hours of investment you will engage in and for what? What is it that you see in this amazing creature that would cause you to invest hours upon hours of time, effort and training? Yet with all this resistance, tension and often setbacks, you continue to challenge yourself to find a way to gain this beautiful creatures trust. If you are a student of your profession you know the traits that make a Champion.

As I write this I wonder how many of you like myself, have been so busy we forgot to reflect, celebrate, pause and ponder the year that was all about 2013. Ponder as a way to ask …What if “IT” happened? I know I asked several times through 2013 and because I was so engaged in all that I was doing I missed some little things that became big things to growing ONEProject and the potential to make a difference through coach conversations the way I intended too.

We provide programs and resources for individuals and organizations wanting to learn transferable coaching skills in a simple, engaging and experiential way that can be used immediately in the work they do.

Like many of us, in my work and efforts with Not for Profits, I am witness to the power of human nature and its ability to judge people in the act of doing and being a difference maker. The challenge is in taking the time through meaningful dialogue to understand their pursuit. How familiar does this sound?

Innovation… How appropriate that a street close to a University is named “Innovation Drive-North”. Is it because being innovative is about looking up? What is it about innovation that inspires and drives organization’s, students, athletes and coaches to be on the edge of breakthrough?

When was the last time you checked in with yourself to ask the following; what am I doing that is creating the life I currently have? If not, maybe it’s time to call your own time out. Yet unlike sports when most time outs are called when things aren’t going well, how would things be different if you called your time out when things were going great?

I was recently asked to step in and speak to a group and got real extremely excited about the opportunity to share and engage in conversations about vision. And then the inevitable happened…the ol’ “hamster wheel” started spinning. I was excited, nervous and scrambling about what I was going to talk about and actually began sweating. The inner voice in me was chirping away and started to take over.

Change has this amazing ability to bring phenomenal results to those that wish to embrace it as an opportunity to explore options in how we bring meaning to our work and our lives.

My career has taken me on an incredible learning path and one full of rich learning’s and invaluable lessons. Coaching and teaching taught me to pay attention to the learning styles, behaviors and inspirations of those 24 pairs of eyes which can be a daunting task. The real journey is finding the connection with each person which allows us to unlock the spirit and meaning behind the lessons so that each pair of eyes gazes brightly on each and every word.
